Gary, W7FG (originally KN7VAT) realized early on in his ham radio endeavor that the easiest way to develop a commanding signal on the lower frequency ham bands is by using Ladder Line in lieu of coax as Ladder Line is extremely low loss and very inexpensive compared to coax. Ultimately, the goal is to use a very low loss antenna/feed system which is much more effective than putting a lot of power to the antenna! Typically, an antenna system of this nature can easily be in the 95% to 99% efficiency range. The final result was Gary always had an outstanding signal on 160M, 80M and 40M! You too can have the same results Gary had!!
