My W7FG True Ladder Line Dipole has been up for 14 Vermont winters, high in the mountains, without a single problem. I do replace the dacron line every few years as "insurance".
When you put up your first Doublet (that's what this dipole is called), you'll say what every one of us said when we first turned on our rig; "Why the heck didn't I do this 20 years ago?"
You'll see a reduction in noise, increased receive sensitivity, ease of tuning and better signal reports as more power is radiated. You will love it from that first moment!
The terms "One conductor from feed point to end insulator" & "One single conductor from tuner or balun to end of antenna" are Trademarks of WB2JIX, LLC & have been in continuous use since 1987.
