True Ladder Line and Wire Antennas

HAMRADIO.WORLD website is online!

Posted by Brian Duerr WB2JIX on

Several months ago I was approached by WX4TV and asked if I would be willing to create  an antenna "kit" so his children could assemble it themselves and learn something in the process. They built it, erected it and tested it all on the same day the box arrived! This is his comment to me that evening.

Well, they built it, put it up, and just worked a station on the island of St. Helena. I have to say that is an incredible antenna!

Hamradio.world

Welcome to Ham Radio (dot) World! We are the Lea family and this website is run by our children, who are young hams who want to share the excitement, fun, and adventure that Amateur Radio has to offer for kids and their families. Your hosts are WX4TVJ (Zechariah), who was licensed at 12 years old, AE4FH (Faith Hannah), who was licensed at 10 years old, KM4IPF (Hope), who was licensed at 8 years old, 7 year old Grace (KM4???), who is studying for her license exam, Mommy (N8ZQZ), who surprised Daddy by getting her license just before they were married, and Daddy WX4TV (James), who was licensed at 13 years old.

WX4TVJ, AE4FH, KM4IPF, and KM4??? work together to build their Arrow Satellite Antenna so they can talk on a pass of the SO-50 AMSAT FM satellite.
